I was really excited to read Inherit Midnight before I even started it because it revolved around two of my favorite things to read about- conflicted rich families and a game that the main character must play their way through. This book did not disappoint.
But Inherit Midnight also contained a few things that I didn’t expect but also really enjoyed. The most notable of these would be the way it explored the different relationships within the main character’s family, from the cousin’s hatred of the main character, to the relationship with her and her brother’s estranged father.
Another thing I didn’t expect to really enjoy but did was the romance. It felt very genuine and sweet.
However, the thing I did like most in this book were the challenges that the main character competed in. They were all well thought out, interesting and exciting. I especially loved how they evolved history and contained all sorts of twist and turns and hidden clues.
Inherit Midnight contained a great blend of adventure and mystery. I enjoyed reading it.
Inherit Midnight will be released on February 10th, and you can add it to your to-read list through it’s goodreads page!
